Annual Scientific Meeting

The Annual Scientific Meeting of AuSPEN is the largest interdisciplinary nutrition care conference in Australasia. Each year an eminent faculty of experts in clinical nutrition and nutrition support from Australasia and overseas present the latest advances in the clinical practice and science of nutrition. The meeting combines a balance of State of the Art Lectures, education sessions and research presentations. This provides an ideal opportunity to meet, interact and collaborate with the other health care professionals who are interested in nutrition support.

Journal

'Nutrition: The International Journal of Applied and Basic Nutritional Sciences' is the official journal of AuSPEN. 'Nutrition' is an international journal focusing on the clinical and research aspects of nutrition. AuSPEN has representation on the Editorial Board of the journal.

Latest News

Regular updates which provides an update to members on the activities of the Society as well as reports on specific topics by invited authors.

Journal Watch

Regular updates of recently published articles of interest, covering topics such as Parenteral Nutrition or Nutrition in ICU.

Strong Advocacy Role

AuSPEN plays an important role as an advocate for its members and for the field of nutrition support. AuSPEN is involved in discussions with Government at a Federal and State Level in areas relevant to nutrition support.

Standards of Professional Practice

AuSPEN provides standards and best practice guidelines for nutrition support practice. In 1997 AuSPEN released Practice Guidelines for Home Enteral Nutrition Therapy.
