Malnutrition Taskforce
The purpose of the Malnutrition Taskforce is to promote malnutrition awareness in the health care sector across Australia and New Zealand. The Taskforce identifies how nutrition standards are implemented and generate reports and position papers that influence and advocate to government and other key stakeholders for best practice nutrition care. The group reports directly to the AuSPEN Council.
Aims:
Promote malnutrition awareness through understanding current practices in Australia and work with stakeholders to promote highest standards of clinical nutrition care to alleviate malnutrition in health care settings and the community.
Goals:
To identify how nutrition standards are implemented across Australia and New Zealand
Generate reports and position papers to influence decision makers and advocate for best practice clinical nutrition care
Develop a standardised definition for Hospital Acquired Malnutrition
