Scientific Committee

The Scientific committee’s core purpose is to manage AuSPEN grants and oversee the planning and scientific program for AuSPEN’s Annual Scientific Meetings (ASMs) through providing governance to its incorporated Conference Management Subcommittee and Conference Program Subcommittee.

The Scientific Committee works closely with the AuSPEN Council, and also liaises with the Education Committee and Marketing and Sponsorship Committee. At any time, the committee is typically actively involved with the two upcoming ASMs, but works on a 3-year timeframe so as to include finalisation and evaluation of the most recent annual general meeting (AGM).

Additionally, the Scientific Committee will consider forward planning of locations, timing and the nature of the ASMs up to 4 years ahead
