AuSPEN is looking for enthusiastic and experienced clinicians from across our broad, multidisciplinary membership to join the AuSPEN Clinical Practice Committee working on the development of a position statement on environmental sustainability in clinical nutrition.

KEY OBJECTIVES:

• Develop a statement that acknowledges the need for decarbonisation of healthcare and the clinical nutrition profession

• Identify key areas in which clinical nutrition most impacts the environment

• Identify opportunities for decarbonisation

Once complete, depending on interest and experience, the group may then go on to develop a clinical practice toolkit or guideline on environmentally sustainable clinical nutrition practice. 

AuSPEN is looking for a range of clinicians with interest and experience in one or more of the following:

• Environmental Sustainability

• Implementation Science

• Change management

• Experience from various clinical areas

The time commitment is expected to be approximately 4-6 hours per month for 12 months for the initial position statement.
